Most Tide~ teacher groups contribute to the 'thinking of the network'. The Tide~ trustees use this evidence to debate new plans and strategies.

From time to time they also set up special 'think tank' projects or Tide~ commissions:

A global approach?
~ An article in three parts exploring global perspectives, what the approach might mean for curriculum planning and for classroom methodologies, Elaine Miskell drawing on a wide range of Tide~ projects.
The Development Education Commission chaired by Professor Ken Boyle, jointly set up with 80:20, Ireland, provided many challenges; not least those in Essential learning for everyone.
The West Midlands Commission for global citizenship, chaired by Professor Lynn Davies, published Whose Citizenship? - exploring identity, democracy and participation in a global context.
