Teaching and learning about the Slave Trade

Tide~ recommends some useful resources and starting points

2007 was the bi-centenary of the Abolition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.  This anniversary became a starting point for many schools, groups and organisations to re-examine ideas about slavery and how we teach about this issue in a current global context.  Much of this activity has led to the production of new material [printed and on-line] to support teachers in their role.
